Why Visit Illinois?

Chicago combines the old and new into one large and windy city. Chicago has some of the country’s best known museums including the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, the nation’s largest presidential library, the John G Shed Aquarium, the Field Museum of Natural History, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum of Science and Industry.

Chicago is also home to Wrigley Field, one of the last “old stadiums” of baseball. Navy Pier has fun and attractions for the whole family including a full working Ferris wheel. Chicago also has the magnificent mile which includes world renowned shops both national and international in origins, with other 460 retail stores; there is something for every taste and style.

Outside of Chicago, southern Illinois offers outdoor sightseeing like the Meeting of the Great Rivers Scenic Byway where the Mississippi, Illinois and Missouri rivers meet to flow to the ocean.
